Eezee: How to Visualise an Online B2B Marketplace
In 2019, Eezee secured seed funding from Insignia Ventures Partners to expand its platform overseas, marking a significant step beyond its early-stage startup phase. A key strategy for this expansion involved integrating the design team to work on Eezee's design system, aiming to reach a broader audience. As a new member of the design team, I was tasked with translating Eezee's core values and visions into a practical and scalable set of illustration elements.
Illustration guide development
I was responsible for creating a library of illustrations, which included smaller object illustrations, spot illustrations, and larger themed environment illustrations. Each illustration was further categorized into one of four themes: tech, logistics, business, and humans. Additionally, I was in charge of overseeing and ensuring the quality of Eezee’s illustration system for both web and print collateral, working closely with the marketing and tech teams.

Applications on UI Illustrations
Plunging into the B2B environment can be tough to grasp at first – something I empathized with when I first joined Eezee. How can we contextualize a B2B marketplace using visual communication and user experience?
The product environment on Eezee's homepage was designed as a tool to enhance users' experiences while browsing through Eezee's extensive catalogues and categories. In collaboration with the tech team, we developed a CSS styling tool to seamlessly integrate illustration assets with Eezee’s responsive interface. By the time of its launch, we had illustrated 8 categories, each with over 5 sub-categories: Personal Protection Equipment, Hand Tools, Power Tools, Metalworking, Adhesives, Lubricants, Instrumentation, and Office Supplies.
